The accordion's use in the traditional chamber-music-type-format becomes a
refreshingly new concept in the hands of accordionist/composer Nick Ariondo.
Nick's Kalamatiano for Viola and Acccordion
was winner of the Ancona Prize of Italy where he became the very first
American to be awarded this coveted prize . . . The Nick Ariondo Chamber
Ensemble has performed on radio, on cable television and in concert,
including universities and colleges. The Ariondo Ensemble can vary in
number and size with the accordion as the focal point, performing a myriad of
musical styles.
